The CIML meeting will be conducted in English. Simultaneous interpretation into and from French will be provided via the online meeting platform.

a) Platform

The platform that will be used for the online 55th CIML meeting is Zoom.



b) Test runs

Two test runs will take place in advance of the online 55th CIML Meeting on the following dates:

Test run 1: Thursday, 1 October 2020, 10:00–12:00 UTC
Test run 2: Monday, 19 October 2020, 10:00–11:00 UTC

The objectives of the test runs are to test your connectivity and use of the Zoom functions, for the BIML to answer any questions concerning the use of Zoom, and to resolve any potential difficulties. The agenda for these test runs can be downloaded here:

c) Guides

i) A one-page “Quick Guide to Zoom” has been prepared by the BIML; it explains the key functions of the Zoom online meeting platform. Download it here:

ii) A “Guide for Participants”, prepared by the BIML, which explains the meeting protocol and how to use the Zoom online meeting platform, can be downloaded here:

bullet  Registration

All delegates intending to participate in the online 55th CIML Meeting are required to register online (see the Registration page) at their earliest possible convenience, but in any case no later than 2 October 2020.


bullet  Time zone

The online 55th CIML Meeting will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 UTC (with one short break) to enable all of our Members to participate. Local time in all major cities in the world can be found on the World Time and Date website:
